The Philip Smith Scholarship Chair was created by Imperial Brass and Philip Smith to give talented student musicians the opportunity to perform in a brass band setting.  It is open to any undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in music.  The applicant needs to fill out an application form and be available for an audition/interview in July or August.  A successful applicant will receive scholarship money and the opportunity to perform solos with Imperial Brass.  Scholarship recipients will also have press release pictures taken with Philip Smith, have recognition in all our programs and their names will be posted on the website. Scholarship recipients agree to perform and rehearse with Imperial Brass for the entire season.
